Walking and Hiking
The area around Glenbeigh and the mountains of Iveragh Peninsula offer excellent walking and mountain hiking possibilities for all abilities. Favourites around Glenbeigh are the Slí Uibh Tathach Loop Walk and the spit of Rossbeigh Strand. (click here for a map).
The Kerry Way
The wildest, most scenic part of the 210-km-long walkway can be experienced in four days of moderate walking between Killarney and Caherciveen. [more here...]
We co-operate with the other B&Bs on this route and provide for luggage transport between these B&Bs. We also arrange transport to/from Killarney and Kerry Airport. We are prepared for the special needs of walkers!
Cycling
Quiet country lanes off the main road are perfect for cycling. The Loop around Lough Caragh is approx.
30 kms long (click here for a map) and brings you through beautiful mountain and lake scenery. Bicycles can be hired locally!
Angling
The area is noted for excellent fishing. Lough Caragh and River Craragh are angler's favourite spots around Glenbeigh. More good fishing is in River Laune in Killorglin.
